Italian component manufacturers Campagnolo has expanded its horizons, releasing a performance clothing range.
With over 80 years experience at developing pioneering componentary and wheelsets, the company has now decided to produce performance wear for both men and women.
This follows in trend with Japanese groupset rivals Shimano, who released its premium S-Phyre clothing range earlier this year.
In its press release, Campagnolo has promised to make you a faster rider claiming ‘Campagnolo is able to make fast frames faster and with a new comprehensive line of performance technical wear, those fast bikes now have an even more efficient engine: you the rider.’
The men’s range will start at €99.90 for its Iridio jersey, a standard, racefit jersey, working its way up to €249 for its aerodynamic skinsuit. The range also includes a selection of bibshorts, a jacket, gilet and even a casual tracksuit.
For women, there is less choice, with three jerseys to go for starting at €95 with the most expensive option sitting at €139. There is also a bib-less padded short that claims to offer performance and comfort.
This release from Campagnolo also quashes rumours that the Italian brand was set to release a watch.
A series of cryptic Instagram posts pointed towards the production of a watch due to their continued use of the word ‘movement’. However, it appears that the reference of movement was in relation to the body rather than a watch.
