Tour de France bikes: Ruben Guerreiro's Rapha × Palace Cannondale SuperSix Evo

Latest collab for EF Education-EasyPost and EF Education-TIBCO SVB has produced a very funky paintjob

EF Education-EasyPost are marketing geniuses, that much we can agree. Whether or not they win anything, their outlandish aesthetic never fails to draw attention from race photographers. And did we mention the crocs

For the 2022 Tour de France, the team has a choice of Cannondale SystemSix and SuperSix Evo bikes and climber Ruben Guerreiro unsurprisingly opts for the latter.

Guerreiro’s bike is built up with a full Shimano Dura-Ace R9200 groupset, save for the FSA crankset with a Power2Max power meter. We couldn’t positively identify the crank – it appears this may be a new model in the flagship K-Force range.

We shot the bike ahead of the Grand Départ in Denmark and, perhaps in anticipation of some largely hill-free riding, it was wearing huge 54/40 chainrings. Or maybe Guerreiro is just a beast?

All the finishing kit and wheels are from sponsor FSA in fact, and the non-Cannondale cockpit does sit slightly oddly on the frame, exposing the normally hidden brake hoses as they enter the front of the head tube.

EF is one of many teams running tubeless this season, and the team tells us they’re using tyre inserts to further reduce the chance of punctures, something we’re more used to seeing in gravel and mountain bike circles.

Keep scrolling for every eye-searing detail and a full spec.
