Look 675 first ride
Josh Cunningham
24 Jun 2016

New gear from Edco, Giant, Look, Tissot and Cyclist.

Edco 3ax clipless pedals

Once upon a time you nailed your cleats to your shoes and hoped for the best. Then Look did that clever thing and now we have adjustable cleats with varying degrees of float. Now Edco has taken things one step further with a pedal body that is free to rock back and forth. Edco claims the 4 degrees of pedal movement, with the 9 degrees of cleat float creates a ‘more natural pedalling motion’.

Giant TCX Advanced SX

Another brand to enter the 'gravel bike' market; this time Giant. The TCX Advanced SX has exactly the same geometry as Giant's existing TCX Advanced Pro cyclocross bike, but there are sublte changes elsewhere, such as slightly wider bars and a shorter stem for more handling control, or the 40mm wide tyres. The bike is kitted out with SRAM Apex 1 hydraulic disc brakes, as well as a 1x11 SRAM Apex 1 drivetrain.

Look 795 Aerolight Special Edition

30 years ago a certain Greg LeMond rolled into Paris wearing a yellow jersey, aboard the first carbon fibre Look. Carbon fibre has done wonders for bike design, and for Look, so to celebrate this anniversary it has released a special edition 795 Aerolight. Painted in a reimagining of the classic Mondrian colourway, the special edition will be available from July.

Tissot T-Race Touch Tour de France edition

Tissot is the official timekeeper of the Tour de France this July and has released a range of special edition timepieces to celebrate this fact – there’s even a disc brake themed one (but you can’t wear it at sportives). The T-Race Touch has a lap chronograph that can be activated by pressing on the touch sensitive screen, so perfect for timing your local club 10.
