Team Sky, Orica-GreenEDGE, Giant-Alpecin, Trek-Segafredo and more confirmed for inaugural cycling Champions League.

In April we learnt of the Revolution Champions League, a joint concept made between the Revolution Series and Velon, a business venture with the aim of increasing stability within cycling. The competition aims to marry the thrill of track racing with the recognisable jerseys of the WorldTour, pitting twelve teams - comprising both WorldTour and domestic outfits - against eachother over four events, which will run alongside the regular Revolution Series.

It has now been announced that Cannondale Pro Cycling Team, Lampre-Merida, Orica-GreenEDGE, Team Giant-Alpecin, Team LottoNL-Jumbo, Trek Segafredo and Team Sky will be those eight WorldTour teams appearing at the Revolution Champions League.

The league will run across three consecutive weekends, and culminate in the grand final at the Lee Valley VeloPark in London on the 2nd and 3rd December.

Tickets are available to purchase though Sky Tickets, with more information available at cyclingrevolution.com
