The makers of the 100 Greatest Cycling Climbs book release new app to help find the climbs and log your times

The 100 Greatest Cycling Climbs book is probably one of the most well-known books in cycling - you know, the little black one with the red triangular road sign on the cover, and its multitude of spin-offs from Flanders, the Tour, Yorkshire and beyond.

Well, now the team behind the books have released an app that's designed to 'help you track down Britain's fantastic hills in your quest to "Ride them all"'. The app has all of the original content from the book, but utilising the GPS in your phone, is now able to add more dimensions.

The app is able to tell you where the closest climbs are, or how far away specific ones are, with factfiles on each displaying its vital statistic and links out to the climb's profile on Strava. Once the app has been synced with Strava, it will then be able to keep a log of which climbs you're knocking off, and how fast you're riding up them.

The app is priced at £5.99, and is available on both Apple's App Store and Google Play.
