Le Col, the clothing brand founded by former-pro Yanto Barker, continues to gain investment

British cycling apparel brand Le Col has extended its equity sale on Crowdcube by a week after passing its £1,000,000 target.

The month-long crowdfunding exercise was due to close on 6th January, but will now run until the 13th due to  "ongoing investor discussions" according to the Crowdcube page

At the time of writing, the company had raise £1,052,750 from 313 investors and had surrendered just over 20% equity.

Le Col was founded by now retired professional cyclist Yanto Barker, and started trading towards the end of 2009. The brand took a big step forward in 2014 when it bought the factory that produces its clothing.

The company has previously been involved with professional cycling teams UK Youth and One Pro, through Barker's place on those teams, and uses continuous rider feedback to innovate its clothing lines.

Already selling to more than 10 countries, the "funding will be used to continue to establish the brand and expand into new geographies" according to Le Col.
