Peter Sagan's time trial at Tirreno-Adriatico was interrupted by a dog walker

The World Champion is currently riding the individual time trial stage of Tirreno-Adriatico, but Peter Sagan's effort was interrupted by a dog walker. In the dog walker's defence, she was using a pedestrian crossing.

Thankfully, the man known for his superb bike handling skills didn't have to do much more than move onto a cycle lane and carry on - albeit slightly perplexed by the situation.

The dog walker seemed equally confused by what was going on, perhaps wondering why a man in a bright red onesie and a pointy helmet was failing to slow for her as she used the crossing.

Sagan wouldn't have been expected to win today's stage, so the time loss shouldn't have too much of an impact on his day.

The 27-year-old will be looking for the win in Saturday's Milan-San Remo and again as the second part of the Classics kicks-off.

The Slovak will start the Tour of Flanders and Paris-Roubaix as favourite and the double win is well within his reach.
