Factor Bikes and Millar's clothing brand Chpt./// have joined forces with premium tour operator Velusso

With five stage wins, three days in yellow and a green points jersey between them, David Millar and Baden Cooke know a thing or two about the Tour de France. The retired cyclists have now teamed up to run an exclusive training camp on the roads of the Grand Boucle this July.

Through Cooke's bike brand Factor and Millar's clothing line Chpt.///, amateurs are being offered the chance to ride with the former pros during a four day trip near Lake Annecy, in the South East of France.

The event is being organised and hosted by premium tour operator Velusso, who run cycle tours to Mallorca, over in Belgium and up in the Lake District.

Station de Rousses and the Grand Colombier will play host to the finishes of stages seven and eight at the 2017 Tour de France, respectively, and those on the trip will ride these climbs before staying in situ to watch the professional Tour peloton taking on the same inclines.

Millar and Baden will host a dinner for the riders to complete the experience of living like a pro.

'We’ve pulled together a unique opportunity to experience the biggest bike race in the world,' said Factor Bikes Executive Director, Baden Cooke.

'Together with the experience and expertise of David and Velusso, it will be a trip our guests will never forget.'

Complimentary trips on offer

For anyone wanting to bag a complimentary place on the trip, there is a way...

Any rider who purchases one of the 51 Factor-ONE Chtp./// Special Edition bikes - at a retail price of £10,500 - a place on the trip to France will be thrown in for free.

Others, perhaps not looking for a new bike but wanting to ride with former-pros on some of France's most iconic roads, can book the premium trip for £3,950.

The trip will run from 7th to 10th July, and includes three days riding with Cooke, and one with Millar.

All the riding is fully supported by a mechanic, a soigneur and a chef.
