The 2017 UCI Track World Championships are due to begin this Wednesday 12th April in Hong Kong.

As Great Britain heads into a new Olympic cycle, with Tokyo 2020 still over three years away, it is with little surprise that in a squad of 20 riders, 10 will be making their World Championship debut.

Olympic champions Katie Archibald, Elinor Barker, Steven Burke and Callum Skinner are the only riders from the Rio 2016 squad, where Great Britain won six of ten Olympic titles, to feature in the Hong Kong lineup.

With riders like Bradley Wiggins and Joanna Rowsell-Shand retiring, and other more senior riders taking a break or dedicating themselves to road commitments, it leaves the door open for a number of younger riders to race.

Full line up

Women's endurance: Katie Archibald, Elinor Barker, Ellie Dickinson, Neah Evans, Emily Kay, Manon Lloyd, Emily Nelson

Men's endurance: Matt Bostock, Steven Burke, Kian Emadi, Chris Latham, Mark Stewart, Andy Tennant, Oliver Wood

Sprint: Jack Carlin, Katy Marchant, Lewis Oliva, Ryan Owens, Callum Skinner, Joe Truman
