Coffee, kit and massages for club members making the pilgrimage to the Izoard

At a shade over 200 kilometres, and following the same roads as the mountainous 18th stage of this year's Tour de France, L'Étape du Tour offers amateur riders the chance to live out their Grand Tour racing day dreams.

Departing from Barcelonnette, the route climbs to the Col de Vars before ending with an ascent of the fearsome Col d'Izoard at 2,360 metres.

From Friday 14th to Sunday 16th July, the Rapha Cycling Club (RCC) team will be supporting members tackling this year’s ride.

To commemorate they’ve produced a limited run of seven pieces from their clothing range.

Taking inspiration from the Col d'Izoard, each item features graphic details of the stage’s profile, along with a unique ‘colourburn’ palette of oranges and blues, which the kit's designers believe is reminiscent of an early morning skyline.

While the clothing is available to anyone whose eye it catches, club members riding the event will benefit from mechanical support courtesy of Mavic’s service course, pre- and post-ride massages and a seat at the mobile clubhouse to watch the pro racing.

Likely to provide the last real opportunity for the riders to attack each other before the final time trial the pro riders will tackle the same route two days later.
