World Champion to answer questions from fans during live coverage of his quest for a sixth straight green jersey at the 2017 Tour

Ever fancied a bit of pro insight on cycling from a Word Champion? Well, you're in luck. Throughout the Tour de France, Peter Sagan of Bora-Hansgrohe, the World Road Champion and odds-on green jersey favourite, will be on hand to answer fans’ queries.

During downtime between stages at the 2017 Tour, Sagan will be trawling social media to look through tweets and posts on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter that use the hashtag #AskSagan.

The Bora-Hansgrohe rider will then choose the most interesting to answer during Eurosport’s live Tour de France coverage.

This year will be Sagan's sixth appearance at the Tour. On the previous five occasions he’s made the green jersey, or maillot vert, sprinters' competition his own, winning it all five times.

Green again?

The 2017 Tour will see Sagan looking to match Erik Zabel’s record of six wins, while he'll also be looking to add to his seven stage victories at the world’s premier bike race.

To get pestering Sagan you can follow either his or Eurosport’s social media accounts.

Laurence Schirrecker-Mothes, global head of cycling production at Eurosport, said: ‘Peter is the most recognisable and charismatic rider in the peloton – he truly transcends the sport – so we’re delighted to be partnering with him.

‘His success, style and fun-loving attitude has earned him a global fan base and we’re thrilled that our viewers will get the chance to put their questions to him during the Tour.’

This year Eurosport will be broadcasting every single minute of the Tour live, meaning fans will be able to catch up to 25 more hours of coverage than in previous years.

Alongside the extended coverage fans will also be able to use the Eurosport Player to customise their viewing by picking up to five extra on-course camera views.
