New perks for Strava Premium members

Stava Premium members to enjoy free Sundays Insurance cover

Premium Users of the running and cycling app Strava are set to enjoy perks that will total more than the app's yearly subscription fee. 

With the app currently retailing at £5.99 a month or £44.99 annually, premium members are set to receive free insurance cover as well as discounts at leading cycling brands. 

As of 21st July, all Strava Premium Members in the UK, USA and Australia will be set to recieve a free form of insurance from providers Sunday Insurance.

The insurance will cover free smartphone and GPS device accidential damage cover - whilst devices are using Strava - as well as taxi reimbursment for mechanical breakdowns. In addition, Sunday Insurance will offer further discounts on bike, travel, life and health insurance.

Strava will also offer its paying members a variation of discounts including to brands such as Wiggle and Science in Sport. 

All perks will be saved in a new portal, www.strava.com/premium/perks, with the view to reguarly add new discounts and benefits for its customers.

Since its release in 2009, Strava has dominated the market of GPS training apps, with over 10 million activities uploaded in 2016. With these latest perks, it can be expected that the number of premium accounts will certainly rise.
