The full range of bikes will be shown in September, but Genesis has released the first details of its 2018 bikes

Genesis has released the first details of its upcoming 2018 bike range with a sneak peak at some of the colours and specifications of its next set of bikes. The full range is set for a big reveal next month but the brand has jumped the gun by releasding images and build details ahead of time.

The range covers road, gravel, adventure and commuting with entry level models starting well under £1000 and the higher end bikes coming in at around £3500.

Genesis Croix de Fer 2018

Genesis Croix de Fer 10 pictured, RRP: £999.99

The Genesis Croix de Fer is popular do anything bike that you're as likely to see on a commute as you are on a long ride into the lanes.

The model has been around for a number of years and over that time Genesis has worked to refine the offering.

For 2018, the steel models have been given a fresh look but retain the same specifications as before.

The top end model remains the titanium framed Genesis Croix de Fer Ti, yours for £3499.99.

Genesis CDA 2018

Genesis CDA 20 pictured, RRP: £949.99

Another bike that will see you right on the ride to work or for an on-road/off-road weekend cruise, the Genesis CDA can carry you over (just about) any road surface.

Both models have undergone a very minor tweak with the addition of the Clement X'Plor 40c tyres but retain the Shimano Claris or Shimano Sora groupset they came with before, which means both are still priced under £1000.

Genesis CDA 2018: Prices

• Genesis CDA 10 – £849.99
• Genesis CDA 20 – £949.99

Genesis Flyer 2018

This model is marketed as 'a single speed road bike with a performance edge, or a perfect winter training machine,' which might be a stretch for anyone not living in East Anglia or the Netherlands. I wouldn't want to attempt a whole winter on one gear.

The bike does look cool though, and in that respect has been improved by the inclusion of a pair of Clement Strada LGG tan wall tyres.

This bike would suit a hardy, year-round commuter or someone looking to punish themselves on a training ride, but probably wouldn't replace your usual winter steed.

Genesis Flyer 2018: Price

• RRP: Genesis Flyer – £749.99

Genesis Vagabond 2018

Further blurring the lines between a cross country mountain bike, a cyclocross bike and a standard road machine, the Genesis Vagabond is a pretty unique looking machine.

The bike comes with a range of gearing and a set of tyres that have been chosen to encourage riders to take on tarmac, gravel and mud in equal measure.

The Genesis Vagabond can be bought as a complete bike or as just a frameset, and is available in purple as well as the green shown above.

Genesis Vagabond 2018: Prices

• Genesis Vagabond - £1,099.99
• Genesis Vagabond frameset – £449.99

Genesis Day One 10

The 2018 Genesis Day One 10 is abother single speed machine that will bring simplicity to your riding.

Offered as the only bike you'll ever need for the commute to work, it comes winter ready with mudguards and disc brakes. The frame is Mjölnir steel that Genesis claims will pretty much last forever.

Genesis Day One 10: Prices

• RRP: Genesis Day One 10 – £699.99
