Romain Bardet models reworked AG2R La Mondiale kit

Still brown and blue, but a fresh design for Bardet and AG2R La Mondiale

Each week a different WorldTour team releases their new kit for the 2018 season, and this time it was the turn of AG2R La Mondiale, who have gone for something a little bit different.

Sticking with their iconic brown and blue, the jersey has had a makeover, drawing resemblance to a national champions jersey with its simple but effective three block strip look.

Some will be pained to hear that the team has stuck to its guns with brown shorts, a fashion faux pas that only the very few can seemingly pull off.

The brown and blue of AG2R is widely considered to be one of worst looks within the pro peloton, however, the French team's persistence to avoid the boring black and red adorned by the majority of the peloton should be commended.

Jersey model Romain Bardet will hope that this refreshed look will help him towards a maiden Tour de France victory next season.

Bardet manged to finish on the podium for the second consecutive time at this year's race.

With Chris Froome (Team Sky) heading to the Giro d'Italia in May before the Tour and Tom Dumoulin (Team Sunweb) also suggested to be following him, 2018 could be Bardet's best chance at taking France's first Tour since Bernard Hinault in 1985.
