Quick-Step Floors reveal new kit with no new main sponsor

Quick-Step Floors have revealed their 2018 kit, showing no new sponsor despite expectations that the team would receive a new name.

In pictures released on the team's twitter page, the Belgian WorldTour team unveiled their new kit with the same sponsors as this season, Quick-Step and Lidl.

This contradicts the rumour that Patrick Lefevere's team would be riding under a new name in 2018 thanks to a new main sponsor.

Earlier this year, Lefevere confirmed that the team was looking for a new main sponsor to replace the flooring company. However, this kit release suggests that Quick-Step will be retaining primary naming rights.

The kit itself will be a darker shade of blue next season yet retaining the simple design of a block colour with stripe across the chest.

Supermarket chain Lidl retains its place on the jersey taking up both arms, which is an improvement on the logo placement in 2017.

Another new detail will be the 'Wolfpack' insignia placed on the riders' backs, presumably in reference to team director Brian Holm's nickname for the squad.

Quick-Step will be hoping that this new jersey will bring continued success to the team. This season proved tremendously successful with podiums at all five Monuments, victory at the Tour of Flanders and 16 stage victories at the three Grand Tours.
