Wiggins to be in attendance as Le Col launches second celebration of famous Italian brand

For a second consecutive year, Le Col and Colnago have announced the return of the Colnago Owners' Day for 2018, which will be held on 19th August at Chavenage House, Gloucestershire. Owners of the historic Italian bike brand will be invited to come together this Summer to celebrate their mutual admiration for the brand and remember its long history.

Across the weekend, Colnago owners will be able to look at bikes from throughout the brand's history while also getting to test ride its newest machine, the Colnago C64.

It will also be a chance for like-minded cyclists to chat about a bike brand that truly has produced a cult-like following.

In attendance this year will be 2012 Tour de France champion Sir Bradley Wiggins, a Colnago owner himself, who will be riding an exclusive 40 mile sportive through the Gloucestershire countryside before taking part in a Q&A later that day.

Once you have finished the sportive, you can then treat yourself to a champagne lunch while listening to a live jazz band.

Le Col founder and Colnago owner Yanto Barker spoke of why Colnago is such a special brand and the pleasure of hosting such an event.

'When I was a kid, Colnago was the brand to have,' the former pro said. 'Museeuw and Taffi were my idols and the race winning bikes they rode were the most special and amazing to me.

'This heritage and quality continue to this day.'

Barker continued, 'building on the success of the world’s first Colnago Owners' Day in 2017, we’re bringing a collection of the most iconic Colnagos together for fans to see at the beautiful Chavenage House.'

Tickets for the event are £150, are limited and are expected to sell out. Included in the ticket price will be entry to the sportive, a Colnago C64 test ride, lunch, entry to the Wiggins Q&A,a three-copy subscription to our own Cyclist Magazine and a limited edition Le Col x Colnago jersey.

Tickets will also be available for non-riders and children at £30.
