Independent London cycling apparel brand Romance has joined forces with Dutch visual artist Parra to create a stunning limited-edition Specialized S-Words Roubaix all in aid of charity, with bidding for the bike opening today.

The uniquely painted bike will be sold at auction, with all proceeds going to the World Bicycle Relief, an inspiring charity that uses the bicycle as a means of helping rural communities gain access to education, healthcare and employment.

Romance and Parra have combined previously in aid of World Bicycle Relief to produce jerseys and caps, however this collaboration will take things a step further and hopefully make a bit more money, too.

Based out of Amsterdam, Parra's art has been described as 'post-Pop' whose 'uniquely simple style of dominant colours' has made him a 'household name in both sneaker stores and art galleries around the world'.

The use of dominant colours shines in this collaboration with the frame being painted in a camouflage effect of bold reds, blues and pinks, as well as a touch of monochrome, too.

Making sure the componentry matches the special paint scheme, Romance has fitted the bike with a full Sram Red eTap AXS 12-speed hydro groupset and matching Zipp 404 NSW, finished with a Specialized S-Works cockpit including its Futureshock suspension stem.

The auction for the bike has already started and will run through to the 16th August. It can be accessed at the Romance website here.

Parra is the fourth artist that London brand Romance have collaborated with after previous work with Camile Walala, Kate Moross and Felipe Pantone.
