Routes confirmed for 2020 Dragon Ride, the UK's toughest sportive

Route maps and profiles confirmed for next year's Dragon Ride, which will take place on Sunday 7th June 2020

The routes for the 2020 Dragon Route have been released, giving riders a glimpse of what could be instore for them if they take on the UK's toughtest sportive next year. For those looking for an added challenge, there is also the option of doing the three-day Dragon Tour - the final stage of which is the Dragon Ride.

Entries will be limited to 5,000 riders, 500 of whom will take on the Dragon Tour too. The Dragon Ride will be based out of Margam Country Park near Port Talbot in South Wales, within easy reach of the stunning scenery and gruelling climbs that make this a must-ride event.

As with past years, Macmillan Cancer Support returns as the lead charity and headline sponsor of one of the Dragon Ride's route. Entrants, whatever distance they're taking on, are encouraged to set-up a fundraising page and use the incredible challenge of the Dragon Ride as a way to raise money for this worthy cause.

Enter now: Dragon Ride 2020 - anyone entering the Dragon Ride or Dragon Tour before 13th October will get automatically entered into the L’Etape Du Tour priority period.

Dragon Tour

As if the 300km Dragon Ride isn't enough of a challenge already, 500 riders can opt for a three-stage ride by taking on the Dragon Tour.

The Tour will be based out of the Glanusk Estate, in the Brecon Beacons National Park, with stages covering 79km or 105km on the Friday and 71km or 86km on the Saturday. Anyone going for both long routes and then the Dragon Devil will ride a massive 590km over the three days.
