Ashes winning retired cricketer Matt Prior has continued his move into cycling with the launch of One Pro Sports Events. The corporate events agency is a change in direction for Prior, who previously ran the One Pro professional cycling team between 2015 and 2018.

The new agency is aiming to deliver bespoke events to a range of corporate clients, as well as assisting with charitable fundraising challenges, all the while allowing Prior to live his passion for cycling.

However, Prior won't be leading the new venture alone as One Pro will take on the existing corporate events business from cycling-inspired lifestyle brand Velusso.

The team behind One Pro also delivered the inaugural and hugely successful 'The 21 Challenge' last summer: a Tour de France-inspired event for amateur cyclists, their colleagues and friends. The 2019 event saw 75 riders tackle various blocks or, for a select few, the entire route of the Tour de France one day before the pros.

Alongside the overall brand launch, One Pro Events is also opening up the second edition of 'The 21 Challenge'. Final plans for the 2020 ride are being confirmed and the limited number of spaces are expected to fill up.

'Over the past few years we’ve seen the appetite for corporate and team building events continue to grow with more focus on combining clients’ event objectives with health and wellness,' explained Prior.

'Last year’s 'The 21' was a prime example of this – the opportunity to bring together different businesses, challenge individuals and create lifelong memories in the process.

'I’m particularly looking forward to taking the events agency into multiple sports in the coming months and am really excited to see the One Pro brand grow and develop since its inception in 2015.'
