Ribble has launched its new 'live in-store' platform that lets customers beam themselves into store to receive real-time advice, via the internet.

The British bike manufacturer and retailer has partnered with customer engagement platform Go Instore to help bring the expertise of its sales assistants to people at home via video link.

The service will allow customers to be guided, live, around one of Ribble's stores by a sales assistant while being able to chat through the range. The service will be available Monday to Friday, from 09:30 to 17:00 as well as some evenings and weekends.

To begin with, Ribble's in-store platform will be run from its Preston store but could expand to its shops in Birmingham and Bluewater, Kent too.

CEO of Ribble Andy Smallwood spoke about the launch and how it can enhance the customer experience.

'As a leading direct-to-consumer, digital-first business, Ribble is the first in its sector to offer an authentic retail experience in an online format,' said Smallwood.

'Ribble Live In-Store offers the consumer the opportunity to gain access to a physical store, a dedicated expert Ribble brand champion and the complete product range via their own phone, tablet or laptop.'
