Katusha is debuting in the women's peloton. For 2020, it will not only provide kit for the Bigla team but also come on board as a co-named sponsor.

After 11 years in the men's WorldTour, which saw victories at races such as the Tour of Flanders and Milan-San Remo, the high-end clothing brand is looking for new opportunities in different parts of the sport.

It is now bringing its clothing expertise from the men's peloton to the women's and Cyclist has been given an exclusive look at the team's new kit.

Carrying over the aqua blue of 2019, the open brief was given to Katusha's CEO Alexis Schoeb who introduced patterns of salmon pink and navy to help the kit stand out for the 2020 season.

The same colour scheme will also be seen across the team's Chapter2 bikes and Endura helmets.

Team leader Clara Koppenburg voiced her opinion on the kit stating that having such a nice design will help motivate her to race harder during the year.

'My expectations of our new team kit were accordingly quite high, but they were exceeded when I saw the design and tried it on. I absolutely love our new kit,' said Koppenburg.

'The colours and the small details, combined with the superior tech and quality is a perfect balance, and I can’t wait to wear this at the races and training all year long.

'I anticipate that every time I will put it on, I’ll feel such pride, excitement and power on the bike, which will motivate me to give everything in training and racing, and represent our team as well as possible.'
