Mammoth event begins on Saturday with all six stages available to participants until 16th May and a Formentor Challenge from 17th-31st May

The first virtual Mallorca 312 starts this Saturday 24th April, bringing (some of) the delights of Mallorcan cycling to your pain cave.

On Saturday participants will have a maximum of 24 hours to complete the huge 312km challenge with all six stages of the route then available to ride at any pace until 16th May.

Following that, there will be a Formentor Challenge from 17th to 31st May, with the Cap de Formentor climb available to ride from the comfort (or not) of your own home.

All the details of each of the stages, including the Formentor Challenge, are available to check out before you register at milestoneseries.cc.

To further entice you to sacrifice your weekend and legs, everyone who enters the e-Mallorca 312 will be entered into a prize draw to win prizes from partners of the event including Science in Sport, Shimano and Schwalbe, and an in-person Mallorca 312 registration plus more besides.

To capture the local landscape, the event will take place on RGT Cycling, which claims to be 'the world's most realistic indoor cycling simulator' and with the UK weather heating up, it won't take long before you're recreating the warmer climes of the island.

There are limited spaces and with the start date looming it's now or never to book your place, visit rgtcycling.com/e312.

If there ain't nothing like the real thing, you'll have to hold out and hope that by October the world will be out the other side.
