Alpkit Rhythm Thicky women’s jersey review

British brand Alpkit really loves the outdoors, making kit for outdoor pursuits, hiking, camping, swimming, and of course cycling.
Alpkit doesn't have a million different products on offer which are cycling specific, but the brand’s Rhythm Thicky women’s jersey is one to shout about.
In a nutshell it feels like a high-quality warm hug. It is delightfully soft without feeling too flimsy, thanks to the soft brushed inner which keeps you warm and comfortable.
It has a relaxed fit, so it isn’t too tight nor too baggy, just simply functional and flattering for the everyday training ride.
I have worn this jersey on many rides, and it is one I keep reaching for.
Alpkit Rhythm Thicky jersey: Function

The jersey is more wind resistant than a normal jersey (hence the curious name 'Thicky') which makes it ideal for a cold ride where the wind might be whipping around.
The sleeves are decent length without being too long and the high neck also helps keep the elements out.
A silicon gripper on the hem keeps the jersey nicely in place whilst you hit the road or trails.

There's also a neat little zip for valuables and the three rear pockets are well sized too. Plenty of space for a jam sandwich, you'll be pleased to know. I’ve actually recently been hitting the bagel vibe but that’s a conversation for another day.
The jersey’s DWR finish means that it gives some protection in a light shower. Of course you'll want to keep a waterproof jacket in one of those rear pockets in case of downpour. Or there's usually a bus shelter to hide under.
Alpkit Rhythm Thicky jersey verdict

In essence Alpkit’s Rhythm Thicky jersey is bang on the money. And by money, I mean £59.99. It really is excellent value for a jersey which does exactly what it says on the tin.
Plus, everyone looks good in burgundy.
