Having sponsored the entire podium at the Giro d’Italia, Elite must be feeling pretty happy with themselves. To celebrate they’ve released this limited edition pink version of their popular Drivo smart trainer as used by Giro winner Tom Dumoulin, and podium finishers Nairo Quintana and Vincenzo Nibali.

Limited to 100 units worldwide it’s likely to appeal to Giro tifosi, or anyone who wants to match their trainer with their interior decor.

Dubbed the Rosa edition, after the leader’s jersey in the Italian Grand Tour, the trainer is made in Veneto, Italy.

Like the standard edition the direct drive design includes a built in power meter, which the makers claim is accurate to within 1%, outstripping almost all on-bike watt gauges.

A hit when Cyclist tested the original edition, the Elite Drivo turbo trainer is built around an internal 6kg freewheel.

The design has been engineered provide a realistic road feel, even at lower cadences. Working in conjunction with a magnetic resistance control it can simulate slopes with a gradient up to 24%.

Compatible with a range of VR software such as Zwift, users will be able to recreate their own virtual Giro while competing with riders across the world.

If you fancy getting hold of one contact your local Elite dealer, or madison.co.uk to reserve a unit.
