Skoda & Cyclist #ThisIsOurTime L'Etape du Tour competition

Female riders can win one of five places to L'Etape du Tour on Sunday 8th July

Skoda UK has committed to championing gender parity in cycling with the launch of its new #ThisIsOurTime campaign – a movement which aims to raise awareness of gender inequality in cycling.

To celebrate the #ThisIsOurTime campaign, Cyclist has partnered with Skoda to give away five places to female riders at L'Etape du Tour on Sunday 8th July*

The prize package includes flights and transfers, hotel and entrance into the L'Etape event.

All you have to do is answer the following question:

*Please ensure you are available to travel Saturday 7th – Monday 9th July 2018. Your bike will also need to be collected one week prior to the event so it can be transported to the event on your behalf with the onsite Support Team.

More About the Skoda #ThisIsOurTime Campaign

The global car manufacturer, which sponsors some of the UK’s most high-profile cycling events including the Tour Series, the Women’s Tour, Prudential RideLondon and The Tour of Britain, is making several commitments to help inspire change in the sport, including:

• Forcing more press coverage than ever for the Women's Tour in June 2018 via a new partnership with The Daily Telegraph

• Creating a cycling community movement through 'green cycle bar tape', a specially designed ribbon which will allow cyclists to show their support to gender parity in the sport

• For the first time ever, Skoda UK will support a group of women who will ride the exact same Tour de France course one day ahead of the men, addressing the issue of gender inequality in one of the world’s most famous cycling races

• Creating a forum to tackle some of the gender the issues the sport faces through a cycling podcast takeover and by working with female cycling influencers

• The campaign, designed to galvanise those within the cycling community and champion females within the sport, is being backed by Dame Sarah Storey, one of the most successful cyclists of all-time

The 14-time gold medal winner described the campaign as 'an important step in the right direction' for the sport, adding, 'Cycling on a global stage must address the gender inequality which exists in the sport and everybody has a part to play.
